My husband and I spied this place out on our morning walk yesterday. I'm so glad we found this place! This restaurant will satisfy you all! Have a large group with picky people; bring them all here? The service was fast and friendly and super informative. Ask them not just about the menu but the area. The food was solid and some things were stellar! solid def. - great taste and as good or a little better than I could do. Stellar def. - above my skill level and delicious. We had biscuits and gravy. The biscuits are what I call drop dough style. They were good but I desire rolled out and crispy all around but..... my husband loved them. The gravy is very thick (I suggest you get it on the side), the sausage has a strong herb taste and I like lots of pepper so I added it. (Nom nom) we also ordered the meat lovers omelet, we substituted smoked swiss in place of cheddar. What made this stand out was the incredible Italian sausage, so tasty! Sides of toast and grits (they were perfect). The lunch menu was full of everyone's favorites, especially for those appetites coming off the beach.

This place is always crowded and there are MANY good reviews...but I can't figure out why. I've been here twice. Each time every table was full but we never wait very long to be seated. The menu is extensive but the food is just blah. This past visit I wanted the corned beef hash but when I asked the waiter if it was homemade, he informed me "it's from the can but it's still pretty good." Canned corned beef hash doesn't impress me. Instead I settled on biscuits and gravy. The gravy was just okay and the biscuits were big lumps of flavorless dough. My boyfriend said the biscuits at KFC are better...and he's right. My side of cheese grits were pasty and the eggs were mediocre. The prices are midrange, averaging around $10 per breakfast. I've been to many other places with better food and lower prices. Sorry Frog Pond, I thought the first time was just a fluke because of all the other great reviews but I'm just not impressed enough to return. Oh and the median age range is probably around 65, so if you're younger than 50 you might feel out of place...

Went here for breakfast this morning. We had been here before but it has been a few years. When we were here before, I remember enjoying it. The only reason we hadn't returned is it was always a wait and a crowd. We were seated promptly and the service was pretty good. My wife had the Italian sausage and eggs, I had the biscuits and gravy and eggs. First off my biscuits and gravy was just not very good. The biscuits were huge flavorless lumps. The gravy was not bad but there definitely not enough for the biscuits. The eggs were okay. Home fries don't do anything for me. Wife says her's was okay but nothing special. She shared a piece of her Italian sausage and it didn't taste like Italian sausage to me. I am half Italian so I know of which I speak. Drinks were kept full but I don't see us returning any time soon.

It has a very nice decor, staff was friendly and the food came very fast. Prices were reasonable and you do get a hefty portion. I got the meat lovers omelette and could not finish it. The only fault I could find was that all there crab omelettes (and other items) were made with imatation crab. This is a let down as the crab benedic is a popular breakfast item locally. I would come back to try the pancakes or waffles but other than those items I put this restaurant slightly above average.

Such a cute friendly place for breakfast/brunch. The decor is cute, and has a mom and pop type of environment. We came in around 10am as a group of 9 and had a 5 minute wait. We were seated and had a server come over immediately to give us coffee, and someone else to take drink orders. The menu has a lot of options. I got "eggs in a pan" which was mixed vegetables, home fries, cheese and 2 eggs on top any way you want. The whole breakfast comes in a hot skillet to the table. It tastes really good, but the vegetables were a little burnt and soggy, which I didn't like. It was a huge portion and could of been shared if desired. Definitely will come back when I come back for vacation next year!

Solid Breakfast establishment. I have been here with a few times with friends and the food has always been excellent. The service can be hit or miss depending which is unfortunate because as we all know the service can make or break a good hometown restaurant. I will definitely go back and give them another try but hopefully service will be better. I would definitely recommend stopping by and giving them a try in regards to food and taste but don't be disappointed if you don't get the best service because like I previously said it can be hit or miss.

Cute interior, but small -perhaps a bit too cute. Can get very crowded and loud. Service very good, even when it's busy. Food very good, and portions large. It's not common to get quality and quantity. There is a $2 plate sharing charge, which is reasonable. A very nice place for breakfast or brunch.

Wow! Amazing place to grab breakfast! We had to wait 30 minutes for a table but it was totally worth it. We had our 11 month old and 4 year old with us. After being seated our coffee cups were promptly filled with fresh hot coffee. Then the guy hosting brought the kids some fresh fruit which is always nice and helps keep the quite. I had the classic eggs Benedict, my boyfriend had the bacon eggs Benedict, and my son had the pancakes. My boyfriend and I both agreed that they were the best eggs Benedict we had ever had and the home fries were delicious as well. I also tried my sons pancake and it was perfect. We were planning on cooking at the condo tomorrow but we will probably be eating here again instead.

Very nice brunch on a VERY rainy Sunday. Asparagus ham and Monterey Jack quiche was tasty. It was served with home fries, fruit and toast. My husband had frog pond Benedict with home fires with onions and cheese added. Drinks were refilled promptly. Sign in and wait to have your name called and enjoy the delicious food!

This is a great place for breakfast. I got the hangover omelette the best omelette I ever had, I could only eat half of it because there was so much food. Fantastic food great prices.

It's always a treat when I make the time to get to the frog pond. It's a bit of a drive for me but 100% worth it. The staff is always quick with turning over tables, since the mornings are an extremely busy time, my coffee is poured right when I sit, and the menu is packed full of options that tantalize my tastebuds. My favorite delicacy is the key west crepe. The crepe is filled with a cottage cheese and cream cheese mixture, then topped with bananas. I always get the home fries as a side! These home fries are not the typical square shaped home fries you might expect. These are the real deal. Don't bother ordering additional sides. The meals are huge and served with extra fruit and a slice of delicious banana bread. The rustic tables and simple fresh flower on the table makes any family dining a delight with such simplicity. The decor, as you can guess, is full of green and frogs. The owner can always be found working hard!

Super quaint and awesome service. The portions are huge so come with an appetite. Everything we had was really fresh and tasted homemade with love. If you are in the area come here for breakfast at least once.

I have been to this place countless times in the past 30 years. It is my first choice for breakfast. They give you ample food at a very reasonable price. Fresh made preserves are always on the table. The restaurant is very clean, the bathrooms are as well. Service is their hallmark. A veteran service staff with plenty of knowledge about all the menu items will help you navigate your choices. Try the special of the day, which was a cheeseburger omelet last time I was there. YUM!

Eggs Benedict was good, really tasty hollandaise. Large portions. Service was spot on. Will return.

This establishment has been around for a very long time and is one of those places you need to visit if you are staying in the area. A mix of locals and tourists here. On the weekend, you will most likely have to wait for a table. We got there around 1030am and did have to wait about a half hour. No big deal and it is worth the wait. Giant portions! I got the lox omelette and it was amazing. My husband got the breakfast special and they did his scrambled eggs soft just like he likes them. Most places never get the right, they always overcook the eggs. Our friends who live over here say you can order an omelette, and for $2.50 more you can split it, getting a second plate with toast, etc. We live in the same county but don't stay at the beach a lot. Will be back the next time we stay over in that area. They also have a lunch menu. I think they close around 1pm or 2pm.

I'm only rating this restaurant 2 stars based on the service we received. When the 3 of us walked in we were sat immediately. Someone filled our drinks with water right away and told us i server would be right with us. When she approached our table she didn't look happy to see us. We stayed because the food looked fantastic and we heard it was. My boyfriend asked her for ketchup, she never brought it, and our drinks were not refilled once. Over all it was very disappointing experience. Great food awful service.

Woke up hungry???? Don't feel like making breakfast??? This is THE PLACE. Their home fries are killer!!!!!!! Seeing that this place was super busy doesn't intimidate me, it's a great sign actually. Also, everyone that walked out had a left over box. Had the meat-lover omelette, and husband had Lox. Amazing food!!!

I have mixed feelings about this place. I enjoyed my first visit and got a HUGE omelet filled with bacon and sausage. The next time I went I decided to split the omelet with a family member because I was raving about the size to them. The waiter told us there would be a $2.00 sharing fee. I was a little thrown back but ok. $13 omelet and 2 dollar fee...I think ok, It was huge so $7 or $8 bucks is about average for breakfast. When they came out with an omelet half the size as before and mostly egg I was turned off. Not sure what to think since I had 2 different experiences. After raving to family about this place, I was quite embarrassed. My second visit will not have me rushing back anytime soon....if ever,

We got in very fast even though it was busy. The service was fantastic! Our waiter was a younger guy and he was quick and very friendly. My wife and I had to cinnamon roll French toast. It was delicious. The place is on the small cozy size. There are frogs everywhere, pictures, statues etc. it's a highly recommended spot

Standard breakfast food. I would like to see more options for combinations with pancakes but a girl can't have it all. There is always a wait on weekends so unless you are staying on the beach it's not worth waiting. The owner/manager is very nice and brought out a small fruit plate for a fussy baby and kept trying to make him happy during breakfast. That was super nice. Next time just take the baby and carry him around...

Every Saturday or Sunday morning you will find me at the frog pond aka the gluttony pond! The food is insanely delicious here and the portions are out of control. As for service, there is no place better. The second time I came they recognized me and treated me like a regular. They have definitely taken care of me in little ways as well like letting me order off the lunch menu during breakfast. My critique. ..everyone loves this place so I usually have to wait for a table.

  • Mark R.

The place is a little different. You sign yourself in on a list to be seated. Then you're seated in a 15 table room. Plan on a wait if you're at early part of day. The decor is frogs, and more frogs. They also have admins on the inside of the windows. The specials are well posted and they have a crepe and omelet of the day. There are burgers and sandwiches but this is a breakfast place. I went for the blintzes, they are cold but loaded with cream and cottage cheese. Then they bury them under a fruit salad with cantalope, honey dew, grapes, bananas, a couple small pieces of strawberry and maybe kiwi, under a heavy dusting of cinnamon and some netmeg. Really good stuff here! You get a banana bread slice but it falls apart under pressure of spreading butter. Very good but crumbles. Neptune benedict comes with imitation crab, but real spinach and cheese! It came out very good also. The hollandaise sauce was just right. All in all, nice spot for breakfast.

Went to the Frog Pond to have eggs Benedict well was I ever surprised. I have never been to a restaurant that refused to cook the eggs the way you like them. I ask for the eggs to be cooked well done and was told they could not do that. I then ask to have them place fried over hard eggs on my eggs Benedict and was once again told that if they did that they would have to charge me extra and it would be quite expensive. Would not recommend this place to have breakfast unless you want to eat what ever they feel like cooking. Very disappointed.

Another delicious breakfast choice in St. Pete Beach! Bacon waffles, while mild in flavor, had a nice ratio of batter to bacon. If you like your hollandaise sauce on the lemony/tart side, then you'll love the eggs Benedict. Staff are responsive and delightful. The cappuccino is the magically delicious, too! Great spot!

  • Belinda O.

Delicious food and great/quick service. The waitress is on you the entire time even though the entire place is packed. She'll bring you your drinks right away, along with anything else you need. The only thing you really need to wait forever for is the food, but it's worth it because it's made fresh. There's also fresh strawberry jam, and a freshly picked flower that sits at every table. We definitely will be coming back while we're here on vacation.

Not much to say but great food, great prices and great service. If you are staying in the area or live nearby, skip the $20 brunches and head to Frog Pond. Portions are huge, moderately priced and everything tastes great. Service is a good & friendly but a little rushed but that's only because the place is slammed (not a bad sign for a diner). It's a great place to read the paper and have breakfast or bring the whole family and plan your day at the beach. This place gets our vote for best breakfast on the beach!

We have been going here for years, always consistently the same, in a good way, very friendly service and a popular place so they do their best to get you in and out, huge portions, not sure where they get their strawberry jelly that is on every table but it sure is yummy on toast.

Service is good, friendly and prompt. The wait is long and it is hard to find a parking place. Reasonable prices for a lot of food.

Sorry, but after last weekend's visit I have to take it down a couple of stars. Once again, undercooked eggs. I asked if I could get over easy or medium instead of poached for the Frog Benedict. NOPE! It's such a simple thing, I don't know why they refuse to accommodate customers on egg cooking preferences. I never noticed how cramped this place is either. I felt like people were right on top of us and we were right on top of them. It was uncomfortable and made for quite a LOUD breakfast. Forget relaxing and reading the paper, they put so much shit on the table, there is no room left. Breakfast for 2 should not cost thirty bucks. And they use fake "krab" gross. Scratching this one off my list, sorry Frog Pond but your competition is currently kicking your ass.

So, my wife found this while we were relaxing on the beachfront balcony of our hotel. They have standard fare but also some unique creations. I opted for the eggs Benedict while my wife went for the special: 2 eggs (which was more like 4), choice of bacon or sausage, toast, choice of home fries or grits. All this for $7. The portions are quite generous and very tasty. My Benedict was as perfect as perfect could be. We liked it so much, we came back the next morning. Both days we were greeted promptly and served coffee almost immediately. The service was good and speedy with a very friendly wait staff. Anyone visiting this area will love Frog Pond.

If you're near Redington Or Madeira beach then this is an oh-Kay place for breakfast. It is a good inexpensive option for brunch. Great for families. But since moving to FL (St Pete) this place would not even make the top 10 breakfast places. If you're a foodie - you'll want to pass. If you just need something better than Waffle House, then this will do. My boyfriend and i both chose a different eggs benedict to try. i had the krab (imitation) and spinach one and he had the turkey one. The good part of the meal was that the eggs were prepared correctly - runny yolks with semi-firm whites. Also, they have some darn good coffee there. None of this whimpy weak crap. But that's where the good ends. The tea they serve looks like someone dumped a cigarette tray in a tea bag. (Yes, i am a tea snob, but my God, at least serve a brand that is fit for human consumption. Also, The actual taste of the Benedict's, both of ours, did not live up to the 4star hype. The flavor fell flat. The home fries are supposedly made with bacon fat - so my boyfriend wanted them and I did not (bacon is full of fat and cancer). My boyfriend actually thought they were horrible and didn't finish them. LOok, He holds a platinum card in the Clean Plate Club so when my boyfriend doesn't eat everything on his plate - especially something cooked in bacon fat- then there is something jacked up with the food. We also ordered waffles - mostly because I'm a pig and my boyfriend will share it with me so it's not overtly obvious that I'm a pig. It was not as crisp on the outside as I normally prefer and the flavor was okay but nothing mind blowing. This place has its charm as far as atmosphere. It's small, cozy and bright place with windows facing one of the busy roads. The inside is all warmly decorated with frog trinkets and frog art decor.

We returned to Frog Pond this year on vacation and once again it was awesome. I had the Crab Benedict and it may be the best I've tried. The hollandaise sauce was amazing! It has a bit of a lemony tang that I haven't tasted in other sauces. I may have to try to recreate that at home. The crab was imitation, but it was still delicious. I enjoyed it so much, that we're going back tomorrow morning for our last breakfast on this trip! My husband ordered one of the specials. I can't remember the name of it, but it had shrimp and scrambled eggs. He said it was very good.

Quick with great coffee refill service - food was pretty greasy today though...tasted fine but black bacon in parts and pools of butter in my grits...

I have tried the other Frog Pond in St Pete Beach. The food here is just as good. I had an omelette with ham and cheese. I forget what it was called. I still love the trio of bread and the breakfast potatoes. Be aware that they do charge you $2 extra if you share a dish. My waiter here was considerably better than the one I had at St Pete Beach. Overall, I am still a big ol fan of these big ol omelettes.

Maybe it's me. I think I have to start considering that maybe I don't know breakfast as well as others. I mean, I have eaten at some really good breakfast/brunch places in the Tampa/St. Pete area - Pinky's, Jack's Skyway Cafe, even The Lodge. But my girlfriend and I keep choosing breakfast places based on yelp reviews, and I am constantly disappointed. This place is honestly 2.5 stars at best, but I am rounding up because it's cute on the inside - if you like frog themes - and because the service was really good (though I think they were trying to drown my girlfriend in coffee). We we trying to decide between here and a couple of other places, but in the end, we chose here because she loves benedicts and this place had lots of benedict options. Since they had so many, I decided to give one a try as well, even though its not normally my cup of tea. Well, that was a mistake. I should know by now that when you go to a comfort food restaurant to only order comfort food. Should have stuck with simple eggs and bacon or something, because the Turkey Benedict I got was sub-par. The turkey was fairly tasteless, and their hollondaise sauce was okay at best. The homefries were also soggy and blah (love that complex description, don't you). Even with ketchup, I couldn't finish them. I also ordered a hot tea to drink. Look, I know this isn't a fancy coffee house or even a fancy breakfast place that would bring me a box of herbal teas. But humor me. At the very least, carry lipton. Instead, they brought me some generic horrible restaurant service tea that was like soaking dirt in water. On the other hand, my girlfriend did enjoy her meal, and thought the coffee was good, so perhaps I just ordered wrong. And the place was slammed, so again, either it's my ordering or its my opinion, or I really am the only sane person left alive. I'm voting for the latter. Oh yeah, and you'll be driving around for a while trying to find parking. They don't have nearly enough in their lot, which they share with other businesses.

We found this place on Yelp. Decided to check it out since it was close and had semi-good reviews. We went on a Friday and it was busy, however we were seated within 5 minutes ( just two of us). They were quick to offer drinks to the table. The portions were big. I had the biscuits and gravy, which was good but not the best I've ever had. The Blueberry pancake was a little tart but delicious. The medium steak was over cooked. Service was quick. definitely unique decor. If u live close by I recommend checking it out

I was able to go here in the late afternoon for brunch. You will not leave this place hungry! They give huge portions and it is probaly a good idea to share if your not that hungry or just take the leftovers home. I can't wait to go back! On the weekends and when the tourist take over the town it is very hard to get into here. But if you can wait for a table it is well worth it!

  • D' B.

This is definitely a great breakfast stop. The other yelp reviews helped to find it. It's not actually difficult, but there is not a large sign that you might expect. I got the special of the day (there are several to choose from daily) Italian omelet with the home fries. It was indeed amazing!!! The portions are very large and one order could easily feed two. Service was great and it was a less than 5 minute wait.

Came here for breakfast. We received a warm welcome from the owner/manager. He was able to put together a table for 9 in minutes in a place that was packed. The service was on point. And the meals were HUGE! So much food and all delicious! Even the kids meals were big enough to share. Will be coming back here again!

This is a locally owned business at the beach. It has been here for many years and many people I know hold it in high regard for breakfast and brunch. I think it has a cool name and décor, but the food is just OK, nothing special. I have sampled many of their menu items, but just tend to stick to a basic breakfast.

Why 5 stars? Because it was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. --- --- --- The Frog Benedict with home fries. Nothing else needs to be discussed. Actually, that's not true. The Frog Pond looks like it has a ton of really great options. I don't spend a ton of time hanging out on North Redington Beach, so I dont know when I'll be back, but the Frog Pond will motivate me to make some trips out there in the future. When I do visit, it will be tough to avoid ordering the same thing every time, because it was so wonderful. It will be an incredibly tough debate, as I will want to be sampling everything on the menu. I read a lot about their home fries, but I have to admit, I didn't even know what home fries were. I had to spend a couple minutes on Google Images once I made my order. I feel like I should be ashamed to type that. I love me some eggs benedict, and while all of the Benedicts looked amazing, the Frog Benedict looked like a winner...and it tasted like one too. The coffee was a step above your typical coffee as well. The service? You guessed it - great! The Frog Pond delivered on all fronts, I will absolutely be back. I'd say it's easily the best breakfast in Pinellas County, and possible the best in Tampa Bay!

On my most-recent beach vacation, I hopped (sorry) over to the Frog Pond Restaurant. If you're near Redington Beach and are looking for a breakfast place that is tasty with friendly people, check out Frog Pond. After the tasty breakfast of eggs Benedict and a bunch of other stuff, I took a five hour nap...an important side-effect of a quality breakfast.

Have been to the other location in St Pete's beach and was looking forward to breakfast at the Frog Pond. The Madeira - Reddington location was closer to where we were staying so we went there. The layout and atmosphere were much the same as the St Pete's location. The hostess and manager were working hard and getting everyone seated quickly and efficiently but there did not seem to be enough wait staff to handle the volume. The result was predictable, the food was cold when it arrived and one of the four meals was forgotten altogether. We also could not get a refill on coffee despite asking three times. Great potential here but for a place this busy there has to be enough wait staff to handle the volume.

This place is a must for breakfast if you like Omelets. They have great variety and huge servings. Had my family of five here and we thoroughly enjoyed it. My coffee was always refilled before I asked and extremely pleasant staff. You may experience a wait for a table but it moves fast and worth the wait.

    (4)
  • Eric B.

Solid place for breakfast. Call ahead for seating, it saves on the wait as the place is very busy. We had pancakes, omelets, and the fruit plate. The portions are generous. The kids thought the pancakes were a layer cake the stack was so large. Food was excellent. Easily the portions are large enough to share. Will go back again.

Great food. Big portions. Food comes out fast. Really friendly staff & servers. I ate the eggs Benedict with spinach & imitation krab meat. It was delicious. My friend ate the turkey Reuben and it was fantastic. My nephew had the Belgium waffle, which was crispy and perfectly sweet. The home fries are some the best I have ever had. I have been coming to this place since I was a child in 1983 and it is just as good as ever. Come here when you are staying at the beach. You will love it and leave so full.

This is exactly the same restaurant as its sister restaurant down in St Pete Beach. As I said in my review of that one, in my opinion this is absolutely positively the best breakfast to be had in Pinellas County. We love the quiche and the crepes. The bacon is thick cut and always perfectly done. I also love that they are very good about keeping your coffee cup full. There is one guy who walks around the restaurant with pots of coffee in his hand and his only job is to refill people's coffee. The only downside is that sometimes there are very long wait to eat here. As long as you're patient and are not in a big hurry, I'm sure that this restaurant will meet your every expectation.

My "baseline" breakfast is very simple - Pancakes and bacon. It's surprising how many places can screw that up. Both the 'cakes and bacon are very good at the Frog Pond. They also offer specialty pancakes like chocolate chip. Be advised, they are all HUGE, and the chocolate chip ones are *packed* with chocolate. I have never been able to finish two pancakes, so I'm not sure why I always order two. Stick with one cake, it's PLENTY - trust an expert in the field of eating them. I am a fan of kitschy décor when it's done right, and the levels of frog saturation inside this place are impressive. There seem to be frogs on every possible surface. I feel I should be annoyed by the sea of smiling green faces, but the frogs just make me happy for some reason. It's a fun, bustling, jam-packed breakfast joint right across from the beach - LOVE the vibe here - but expect a wait on the weekends. I have had nothing but stellar service here on several visits now. The employees are all long time folks and are treated as family by the owners, thus they seem to take extra pride in their work. The grizzly dude who refills the coffee and water constantly, has been doing so for over 20 years. P.S. Do NOT confuse this Frog Pond with the one on St Pete Beach. They are NOT created equal. This is the "go to" Frog Pond. The St Pete Beach location should be called "The Fail Pond".

So we wait 20 minutes to be seated and then they seat 2 parties who "signed in" AFTER us. It was extremely rude so we left. It was also very hot and very cramped. I suggest Kenny's Korner right down the street.

My wife and I have been eating at this restaurant since 1992. It's been good and hasn't fallen off much since Dennis and Bill owned and ran it. David picked it up and kept a good thing going. My regular order is an omelet with spinach and jack cheese. It's always large (seems like 6 eggs) and well prepared. One time the eggs were greasy and Bill had it redone without a word being spoken - Dennis would do the same. The sausage is pretty good too, and I always enjoy slathering the toast with strawberry preserves. The coffee is decent. They never installed an espresso machine, so I'm a little bit disappointed, but overall pleased with the timely and constant service refilling your cup before it's empty. Ask for Equal if that's your thing - they hold onto it to prevent pilferage. Ambiance is a mixed bag. It's a great place for conversation because the din is loud. You can hear everything yet understand nothing other than your table partner. Service is always friendly, prompt and personal. Weekend breakfast means waiting in line. It would be nice if they offered coffee to those waiting, but the line moves fast enough. Prices reflect the quantity and quality of the food. This is not a place for a cheap breakfast, so plan on spending around ten dollars. It's a good value if you're hungry and appreciate good quality food and service.

I was not really a fan of this place. I ordered an omelette and e eggs were just weird. I don't even know how to describe them. Really fluffy Ina bad way and also not quite cooked enough. The potatoes that came with it were good though. Our server was not too concerned with us and never even refilled our water glasses. I only gave it 2 stars because mr. O ordered eggs Benedict and that came out pretty good. I ended up pulling the bacon out of my omelette to eat and ate a bit of his breakfast. So yeah, just meh.

Do not let the nondescript strip mall of a location stop you from going into this place. Sit down and enjoy! What a pleasure. Had a great breakfast here and I love, love breakfast. Could eat it morning, noon and night. Unfortunately, this place is only open until 2pm. I had a Quiche Lorraine that was out of this world. Most excellent! The food is cooked with a nice sophistication. Healthy alternatives with fruit accompaniments. A little pricey but you definitely get what you pay for! Service was super quick. Coffee cup was kept full. They do all the basics of breakfast right and their food more than exceeded expectations. Highly recommend going here. I will be back!

Great place to eat a hangover away... and affordable... I ordered biscuits and gravy which were great, and it came with eggs and homefries which were just as good. Arrive early because there is usually a line. We got lucky and were sat right away. Prob not great for big groups. Wife liked what she ordered also.

Love the Frog Pond - both locations. Best omelet anywhere. The home fries are perfectly done, or you can substitute tomato slices if you want to cut a few calories. The strawberry jam is fabulous. The service is always fast and very friendly. And of course, frog themed items are everywhere. A fun place for excellent food!

This restaurant is always extremely busy, but they are very efficient in getting you seated and food on your table. We have eaten there several times in the past and the food is always good and large servings. My wife ordered the quiche and it was very good. I ordered the crepes, which were served chilled, but for breakfast, was not how I like them, but it include a huge bowl of fresh fruit and a slice of nut bread - very good. The waitress was delightful and it was a nice experience. Definitely recommend going there but allow a little extra time on your agenda.

Straight off an overnight flight into Tampa we needed a big breakfast to energize and wake us up. The Frog Pond came to the rescue. We had the Lox Benedict and eggs in a pan. Humongous portions which you can easily share so beware when ordering. If you are going with a big group you probably don't have to order anything and could just eat everyones leftovers! I was impressed with the eggs in a pan. It has tons of fresh veggies including, broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, onions and mushrooms. It also had seemingly a pound of bacon! It was packed full of veggies and bacon and could easily been split. It also came with 2 pieces of toast. The Lox Benedict was also a very huge and good option. Whatever you order make sure you are hungry or want leftovers for a few days!

Food was pretty good, healthy size portions, not expensive, and our waitress was very friendly. We went on a busy Sunday morning and the biggest issue by far was the cleanliness. We had several pieces of silverware that were dirty and lipstick on a glass of water. Even the "clean" plates & stuff seemed dingy at best and the sides of the tables were sticky. If this place had those issues solved they'd get a 4-5 star review no problem.

The Frog Pond was quite a value! The dishes that we ordered (Veggie Frittata) were giant! The menu seemed like it had over a dozen different ways of having Eggs Benedict. The standard cup-of-coffee was very good. The service was friendly and prompt. Loved it!

Worst food EVER...had quiche that was inedible...was "on special" but I think it was leftovers from days prior...had 3 weird pieces of toast that looked like it was salvaged from others plates of uneaten food....truly a gross meal....will not tell u what was in t bottom of my coffee cup....disgusting!!! Hope we don't get ill...

A weird little place in St. Pete that is dedicated to frogs. Not sure why.... Was debating between the pancakes and the french toast and decided to settle on the french toast. Turns out, they had 3 different types (regular, cinnamon, and egg nog for the holiday season). I decided to play it safe and go with regular and they were good. Friendly staff and a nice place for a quick bite.

I went here for breakfast with my family. Everyone else ordered eggs but I ordered waffle breakfast. Everyone else got huge servings with sides and fruit, but I got a single waffle on a plate for the same price. We asked about it and both the server and manager were very rude to us about our query. You can get the same breakfast foods anywhere, so why go somewhere with rude employees? I'll never go back to Frog Pond.

I really like this place. The portions of food they give is HUGE. The owner is supper friendly as well as the staff. The only thing I don't like is it is a bit loud than I would like. It's always busy which can't be a bad thing right?!

I've been going here for a LONG time... Before 2000, at least. The food is consistently good. The service is (in my experience) just as good. Portions are huge. Its good food, and you get a ton of it. I usually order one entree and share it, and the little ones get their entree to share too. I've never had a bad meal here, ever. The decor is kitch, but its what you'd expect with a name like "The Frog Pond" there are literally frogs everywhere. You are seated by one of the owners, so there is never an issue with quality or customer service. I really like that aspect about the place. They always have creative specials and I've never been disappointed by them.

Really good food and service. I had vegetarian eggs benedict, my son had a very large and delicious hamburger- $ 10 but worth every penny and my husband had blueberry pancakes- large portion but the "doughy kind". Service was excellent. Overall great, but for really good pancakes- the malted, raised kind go to Kenny's place.

So at first I was not pleased with the Host, manager (not sure of his exact title). We were a big group and called ahead and he said he could do a courtesy call ahead but did not explain that we would still have to wait or that though we were a big party we would be seated separately. When we arrived we waited about 20 min and were seated. They do not offer combos but rather everything is a la carte which can make it pricey. Their portions are colossal, but beware, they charge for sharing meals. Besides all of the above, the food made up for it. I had the cinnamon roll French toast which was absolutely delish!!! I enjoyed and savored every bite. I ordered a side of sausage which brought 3 bratwurst sized links. Though the a la carte can make it pricey, their portions were worth what we spent. Everyone else in our party raved about their food. The only thing that wasn't a hit were the pancakes. Overall, I recommend this place and will be back.

Leap frog over to this jumpin' little place. You know how you build things up in your mind and then you're disappointed when they don't meet your expectations? That could have happened here, but thankfully, it did not. Everyone and their brother told us how great this place was. They also warned us that it would be crowded and to anticipate a long wait. Well, here's the deal. Yes, it's as awesome as everyone says. But no, we didn't have to wait at all because we were careful to pick a "slow" time. The Frog Pond is open from 7 AM - 2 PM. On both of our visits, we went around 12:30 or 1 PM and we were seated immediately. There were even some empty tables! They serve the same menu all day, so you can order breakfast or lunch anytime. Nice. The first time we visited, my husband ordered their special cinnamon French toast - crazy good. I just ordered a side of bacon and side of home fries because I'd heard they served way too much food to justify two entrées. Everything was tasty and the food quantity turned out good too. For our second visit, my husband, once again, ordered the special cinnamon French toast. He's not one to venture out once He's found a good thing. I, on the other hand, ordered a small house salad and half BLT combo. The salad was okay, but the Parmesan dressing made it great. Plus, it came with a piece of banana nut bread that was killer. The BLT was among the best I've ever tasted; filled with thick crunchy bacon. Even if you don't care so much for frogs, you should visit here and give it a try. Instead of a frog, you might find a real prince of a special place.

We are 2 for 2 on Frog Pond breakfast this week. Both days were excellent. Food was fast, hot and good. Serving sizes are big, service was friendly and attentive, coffee cups were always kept full. I highly recommend. There are crazy amounts of frog figurines and various items decorating the walls in there, BTW... I guess that's their "thing".

Hands down the best breakfast I had since I moved here from Utah. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with eggs and home-fries while my wife tried the asparagus and ham crepe special. The restaurant was busy but we were seated fairly fast for the amount of people that were there. the table was clean, the server was nice, the decor was fun, and the manager talked to us personally several times to make sure we had everything we needed. The biscuits and gravy was great, not the best I've ever had but they were better than most places and the home-fries were amazing. My wife's crepes were out of this world! the idea of asparagus with ham and cheese in a crepe covered in honey mustard sounded odd but it was amazing! our food was cooked and brought to us within 3 minutes of us ordering which is amazing since the place was packed. The servers are fast and attentive. I would recommend this establishment for anyone who enjoys a great breakfast at a great price.

Not a lot of options for a HEALTHY breakfast lol. But It certainly was a hearty meal. They give you a huge serving of potatoes. The BLT is HUGE. (that's what she said) And the ambiance is quick, friendly, and family-ish. Servers were funny and entertaining.

The motto here is definitely quantity, not quality. If you look closely at the picture you will see everything is shiny, incuding the grapes. It's not juice your seeing, it's grease and even the fruit and toast are literally swimming in it. I had what was supposed to be a quiche, which should have been light and fluffy but was heavy and very, very greasy. My husband had the eggs and Italian sausage. This meal led to an immediate trip to the bathroom for myself and my husband. If it's flavor your seeking, skip this one. If you want massive quantities of excessively greasy food, you'll love it.

Let me start this by saying... I am deathly afraid of frogs. So if you're like me and can't deal with pictures of frogs, avoid it. However, I almost got past the frog menu with a mental breakdown. The food was great. The price was a bit much. I would much rather go here than another chain breakfast spot even though it was about $10-$15 per person. The sodas are all in cans and I honestly didn't remember to look at the receipt and see if they were charged for each soda they got.. my guess would be they were. We went on a Sunday morning, late, and had to wait approximately 30-45. Was it worth it? Yeah probably. But if I lived in the area I'd call my order in and pick up my food.

I just do not understand the super-popularity of this place. It's just an okay/good pricey breakfast to me. Not bad by any means but I can't rave about it. Had a waffle last time. It was pretty mediocre. Waiter brought me another one that was excellent. (Important to mention that I did not complain about the first one to anyone. The waiter simply thought it did not look up to par when he served it so he had them make me another without my asking. That is some darn good service!) Only real complaint I would have is that it was 78 degrees in the place. That is way too hot for my liking. Especially when there is that many people crammed into such a little place. I know it was 78 because I was seated facing the thermostat. There was no problem with the a/c, THAT IS THE TEMPERATURE IT WAS SET AT!

Personal opinion - when the $ is 1 that means it is cheap, but an $11 omelet? Really? I know the rent is high and you are paying for convenience of being on gulf blvd, but 1000% mark up is a bit crazy. On top of that, you don't get to choose your bread, they just bring you white, wheat and rye already buttered. The home fries were greasy and could tell that they were sitting on the grill for a long time. The "included juice" is a shot glass sized cup which was dirty. I'm sorry, try it for yourself and I'm sorry if I was the only one who had a bad experience.

The portions were hugh but the waiter was not the nicest guy and the place was very warm. Overall the food was good. I may stop by if I come out this way again but now i know not to ask for anything that is not on the menu even if they mention that they can do it. The waiter did not get our order correct but he did not seemed to care

This is the only place we visited on our trip that we came back to. We didn't try the lunch offerings, but the breakfast platters they are serving up are so heaped with goodies that they bring extra plates so you can deconstruct your meal. The first go-round, we enjoyed a slab of Greek quiche, a mountain of amazing-crispy-flavorful homefries, the Monte Cristo crepe special as thick as my arm, a bowl of grits, enormous wedges of melon, and slices of buttery, melt-in-your mouth toast with homemade strawberry preserves. We both took leftovers back to the hotel, and I remarked that they really ought to just bring out to-go boxes with the food. The second visit, we were on our way out of town so thought we'd try to order light since we couldn't take leftovers. I had the eggs-any-style with more homefries (seriously the best I've ever had, and I am mad about potatoes), thick and crispy slices of bacon, and toast. I barely finished. Boyfriend thought he'd have a good shot at finishing the chocolate-chip pancakes, but seeing as he was served three of them bigger than his head, it was a losing battle. Everything we tried was over-the-top delicious. The service is very friendly, and the place is decked out in more froggy-rabilia than I have ever seen in one place in my life. We thought the prices were a bit high until we saw the portions. You really are paying for 2 meals, easy. There's a moderate charge for plate-sharing, but if you're not ravenous, it might be something to consider.

We love Frog Pond! A group of us spends every Memorial Day Weekend at the beach and one (sometimes two) trips to Frog Pond is a must! The portions are huge, so don't plan on eating again for the rest of the day if you go for breakfast. I tend to always try out one of their many omelette's, but my wife loves their pancakes. Neither of us can ever finish our plates, but we do try. We have been coming back for several years now and it is great to always see the same servers/managers each year.

My favorite breakfast place. When I'm over in the St. Pete area, a trip to The Frog Pond is a must. And their home fries? OMG. OMG. The service is great. The food is great. The pancakes are great. The omelets are addictive. Go here and eat breakfast. Just do it.

Came here for breakfast....was awesome. Portions are huge...be warned...come famished...!!!!! Food was great, very diverse menu. Atmosphere relaxed and casual. Wait staff and fellow patrons friendly and laid back. Not only was the food delish but reasonably priced. Be prepared to eat well and relax with some locals. Great combo if you ask me. Kids have been asking to go back since we paid the bill and left the tip !! Will definitely go back!

Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of the Frog Pond for breakfast. They serve huge quantities of food, but if you venture off the standard diner fare, the more unique menu items are kind of sketchy. (Imitiation krab omelet?) Plus, sometimes a girl just wants a fruit cup, not half a canteloupe. Jeez. The lunch menu is better -- average sized sandwiches and stuff, pretty tasty. Just don't order coffee later in the day, or you'll get the stuff that's been sitting around a while.

UPDATE: I had the occasion to visit Frog Pond again a few weeks ago and had a much more positive experience. The food was very good and the waiter was much better than the server I had on my first visit. Based on my two visits, I am upgrading to 3 stars. This really is a good restaurant and when they are operating on all cylinders, it's worth visiting. Enjoy It's a real shame to write a 2 Star review for Frog Pond, but it would be dishonest to give them a higher rating. And the worst part is that my rating has little to do with the actual breakfast. Pros - GREAT bacon Good omelet Decent atmosphere - tables are kind of cramped against the window Good variety of menu choices Food was hot when delivered Prices a little on the high side, but reasonable Cons - The service/server Restaurant management policies My server (I believe her name was Cathy) was unattentive and the restaurant does not allow basic substitutions without an upcharge. For instance, I ordered a cheese omelet and requested a mix of cheddar and jack cheeses. My server said they would not allow substitutions and I would have to pay an upcharge (I forget how much it was). An upcharge to mix cheeses in an omelet??? I eat at a lot of restaurants and have never heard such a ridiculous policy. Everytime I needed coffee or water I had to wave Cathy down or call out her name to get her attention. I was not expecting her to stop waiting on other tables to take care of me, I was expecting her to leave the group of employees hanging out around the kitchen to pay attention to her customers. Many times it's the little things that separate restaurants from being mediocre and great. In the case of Frog Pond, the issues are management policies that are archaic and ridiculous coupled with poor employee training. This restaurant has the kitchen staff to make it a great breakfast destination, but the front of house staff is not trained or supervised. That's a shame and I blame management - hence the 2 Star review.

GO HERE FOR BREAKFAST! We came in from Boston for a couple of days worth of sunshine. After failed attempts from other places while trying to find a good breakfast spot, we stumbled upon this place through Yelp. Coming from a city environment, where there are a ton of places to go for breakfast, we found the Maderia Beach area to be lacking. After we were let down the previous morning, we let Yelp lead us to here. We were so glad we did. This places rivals many of our favorite places to go to in Boston. The food was very good, the service was astoundingly on point, and the whole experience left us craving for more. We only wish that we had stopped in sooner so we could return again before we left. They have a very large breakfast menu, with plenty of options. Our waiter was on point with everything that we could think of, from drink service to check backs. He was so friendly, helpful, and patient. Definitely head here if you want an awesome meal with stellar service. You will be glad that you did!

Service was top notch for such a BUSY joint. They run a tight ship and it shows. Most times it's packed but they have a system and work through it well. As far as food, it disappointed. Everything we got was over done. Service was five star, food was far less. Pancakes looked awesome and we will go back and try em. I'm going to give them a second chance as a local.

Been going here for nearly 20 years and...it's STILL amazing! We had eggs, sausage, corned beef hash, potatoes, grits, toast, and coffee. The food was delicious and the quantities were vast....definitely, you could share a plate or plan to take some home. The service is quick and friendly and the place was jumping on a Sunday morning. If you're on the Pinellas County beaches, give it a try...you'll be glad you did!

This is a great hole in the wall type of place. My fiance and I are really big on reviews and ratings so we always check Yelp and others before eating anywhere. I love when there are quick and easy reviews to read and digest so here you go: I got the Quiche Lorraine and it was amazing! It got a 5 out of 5. My fiance got the Eggs Benedict and she loved it. She is a big benedict fan so she always compares quality of hollendaise sauce at every breakfast place, and she said this place passed the test. I gave it a 4 out of 5 overall because I was not gushing over the homefries like everyone else. I liked them, but at the end of the day they were just fried up potatoes with a bunch of butter. Really good, but not perfect. We honestly probably ate about 20% of our meals because the portions were massive! I guess the most important part of the review would be would we come back? Absolutely!! I want to try the Omletes next time because I hear they are amazing. GET THE QUICHE THOUGH!

Holy Omelet, batman! These things are HUGE! One omelet can easily feed two people. I have been here several times and each time the place is packed. Even though its always busy you never have to wait more than 15 minutes for a table. The place is generally small but the service is fast and friendly. The atmosphere is fun and unique with frogs everywhere and I mean everywhere around the restaurant. A great place for breakfast-make sure you bring your appetite.

My 3rd or 4th visit over 2 years for breakfast or lunch. Service was excellent including correction of potato order without taking my plate back to scrape off the wrong stuff. Had small BLT which came with plateful of colorful fruit and potato side (took half of it home), my own pitcher of full-flavor iced tea. Last May, had a cobb salad which was enough to eat for lunch and munch on during a 7 hour plane trip . I recommend.

Food was ok. I ordered strawberry covered pancakes. They were good. Waiters are nice and refills come quickly. My son liked the home fries. Would have gave more stars, but the seating is awful. The tables are so close together it is really hard to squeeze in between them to get to your table.

Best breakfast I've ever had!! Food was plentiful. My 3 kids shared one order of pancakes and still couldn't finish them!! Huge portions. Awesome quality and you get it all at a fair price. There was a wait of at least 15 tables before us, but we waited and only took maybe twenty five minutes. Well worth the wait. The staff was very friendly and honest. Told us a cheaper way to do drinks for the kids and brought me my own personal pitcher of iced tea. Would go back in a heartbeat!! A+++

We have been coming to Madeira Beach once a year for vacation for the past 20 years or so. We just discovered the Frog Pond last summer (2011). We came in with a party of 8 or 9 which included a 1 year old and a 3 year old. The children were a bit unruley/fussy at the time and the staff handled it with grace. They were helpful and kind. We were very impressed and thankful. The service was outstanding and the food, great. Our first impression was not forgotten. We returned today on our last day of vacation for a late breakfast. We arrived at about 1:59 and realized they were closing at 2. They said to come in and have a seat. They again provided great service with a smile (even though we put in an order for 9 people when the kitchen and servers thought their day was done). We didn't feel rushed and the food was hot and fresh, to order. We again thought the food and service was outstanding. We intend to make an annual visit here and recommend anyone in the area to do the same. Not sure how people had a bad service experience because ours have been outstanding and we admittedly have a very picky group. Additionally, both of our visits tried the staff in different ways enough that I believe their true colors were shown and we can't say enough about how great the service was on both accounts. As for the food, if you know what you like, you'll order well and enjoy it. If you are the type of person that's picky and can't figure out what you like, that's on you, not the restaurants you visit. Tips... BIG portions. Bring an appetite, or split. Chocolate Chip pancakes are a must.

I would say that all of the reviews are accurate, both good and bad. On a Friday morning, the place was packed. The portions are enormous. The food is quite literally piled on your plate. The Meat Lover's omelette was every bit of six eggs. I couldn't finish it. The service was lackluster. They have one guy patrolling the restaurant refilling coffee, but the three servers were completely overmatched for the morning crowd. They were husting, but were pretty much behind the curve all morning. It is pricey for breakfast, but if you want to walk / waddle out full, you can certainly go here -- and probably take home enough for breakfast the next day.

Not sure why some people have given this place such good review. No kids menu and overpriced for what you get. Average at best.

Drove about 30 minutes to get here with one of my co workers cause he swore by this place, and let me tell you he was pretty much on the mark. Amazing breakfast, i had the corn beef hash omelette (special of the day) with home fries and toast. The omelette was legit, the home fries were legit, the coffee was legit. Shit i felt like i was in a MC Hammer video, everything was too legit to quit. Only drawback was the price, but considering the location its understandable. If your hungry for some good breakfast and your willing to dish out the 10-15 bucks per person this is the spot. ill be back, shit i might start paying rent

Visited here with three generations of my family. The breakfast was terrific!! Excellent waffles and the frittatas were amazing - not to mention huge! The five of us could have shared three breakfasts and still had stuff left over. The service was also great. Our waitress was very sharp and super friendly.

You want breakfast well you better be hungry. The food was hot and delicious and piled up on the plate. The quality of the service was excellent and very professional. I will go back again next time I'm in St. Pete.

I love breakfast and breakfast done right is always a good choice. The Frog Pond is quirky and fun and also has pretty good food. We came here the second morning of our trip and loved it. They have all the breakfast regulars as well as crepes. The fresh fruit crepes were great according to two people in our party. I got a bacon/green pepper omelette. It was good, they put a ridiculous amount of filling in these. I'm talking like a half-package of bacon and an entire green pepper. They make the eggs and then fold them over the ingredients you pick, they don't cook everything together. I was in desperate need of water so I didn't order coffee, but it smelled ok. This place is very crowded for breakfast because its worth it. Come here when you're in St Pete, its perfect to put you in a food coma before you hit the beach and sleep.

The salad platters here are just superb! HUGE, good , fresh, I don't have to spend 10 mins dissecting the white lettuce out of my salad as I do at most places. The tuna is very good . All the salads come with their homemade banana bread too. They have a great selection of beneditcs too! Gets very crowded, very fast so you have to time it right, be patient and move along when you're done! Only open for breakfast and lunch so that's fine though.

What an awesome breakfast! Yes, a little pricey for breakfast but we actually ended up getting 2 meals out each order. Yep, leftovers r us. Ashley was really cool, thanks for your attention to our enjoyment of our visit We plan to be back next summer!

Went for breakfast and portions are huge!!!!!!!!! Food was very good........ Service was quick however this was more so with an attitude. I am not a big fan of dealing with someones attitude first thing in the morning, it sort of sours me on the experience. But if you are hungry this is the place to be.

Gluttony, pure and simple -- froggy style. While on vacation with a group of friends, some locals we know took us to The Frog Pond for brunch on a Saturday morning. It was a bit unsettling seeing pictures of frogs in all shapes and varieties right next to their list of available omelettes and other brunch choices on the menu. It had me wondering if a toadie would make a debut in one of our plates as some sort of mystery meat. They say it tastes like chicken, right? Luckily, no strange meats in the mountains of food served. I had a piece of the Quiche Lorraine with their house potatoes and I swear the pile of potatoes must have been the equivalent of at least a one-pound Idaho spud all chopped up and cooked on the grill in butter. The two melon slices on top of the potato mound ended up being just a garnish for me -- who wants fruit when one is bathing in a greasy breakfast?? I couldn't finish all the food. But what I ate was tasty. Ribbit.

Service was just okay. Our waiter left us sitting for 15 minutes while he talked to other guests. The food portions are large but the quality is mediocre at best. The home fries were floating in a pool of grease and were burned and charred beyond recognition (they were indelible). The toast was charred and the roast beef omelette tasted like it was made with powdered eggs. The coffee was okay. Unless you're hell bent on taking food home I would skip this restaurant entirely.

Portions were outrageously large. Lox Benedict, bacon, & blueberry muffin were great. Grits were blah. Omelette could serve 3. Service was average, but atmosphere is casual & fun.

The breakfast platters here are filled to overflowing, and if you're able to finish one you won't be hungry for the rest of the day. The omelets are served with a generous side of home fries and a stack of toast and they're so huge they can feed two people. They serve a Benedict dish that includes eggs, lox, cream cheese, and thick slabs of tomatoes layered on a bagel and then smothered with Hollandaise sauce. The coffee is exceptional and the friendly staff keeps your cup filled. This place attracts a lot of repeat business, and many of the frogs you'll see everywhere you look were gifts from loyal customers.

Drove about 30 minutes to try this place out so I was hoping for the best. Walked in...yep...TONS of frog decorations. I was thinking to myself, it must be nice to be so enthralled with something that whenever you see that thing at a craft show or store, you just buy it and put it in your restaurant! So, now for the experience. The place was VERY busy for Sunday brunch at 11:00am. However, we only waited about 25 minutes and were shocked at how the zipped people in. It must be a big deal here in Florida, but we had coffee in our cups before we even met our waiter. So, perks for the fast coffee service (and he came around every so often to refill too). It took a little while for the server to great us the first time, but once he did, the service was very good and quick. I had french toast and home fries. The french toast was on the better end of the spectrum as far as french toast goes. Thick and fluffy and a rectangle instead of a square. Oh, and they gave me like 6 or 7 pieces....it was A LOT of french toast. And did I mention that the home fries are TO DIE FOR? I didn't? Well, they're to die for! Some kind of spice on them that made them extra delicious. My friend ordered some kind of crazy egg dish with peppers and cheese and a whole bunch of stuff, and she was enjoyed it way much. She was also VERY impressed with the home fries. Only flaw was that the coffee was on the weaker side. The place is right across the street from the water, but there's a giant apartment, hotel, or condo complex blocking the view of the water, but it's there and you can kind of see it, plus, you get to see some crazy big beach front homes as you're driving up to the restaurant. Small parking lot in front and a bigger one in the back. Casual attire, and, yes, there are a handful of "regulars" that are probably at The Frog Pond regularly, but I think it's mostly first timers or people staying in the area, so don't be intimidated if the staff doesn't know you ;). So, for my first Tampa brunch experience, it twas pretty good.

The food is consistently delicious and portions are big. BUT the noise level inside every store is just too much for me first thing in the morning. Heck, sometimes it's too much at lunch! I mean, seriously, it was so loud, I could not hold a conversation with the people at my own table. Lunch is just as busy. It's of those place we love to go to, but tend to second guess our choice before we go. It's pricey, too. And with this kind of atmosphere, it can be tough to justify the cost.

Great food, Great service. The portions are huge. I would suggest splitting a meal and paying the extra $2 for the split. They are johnny on the spot with coffee. We actually went three times while we were on vacation. Totally spoiled and wish we had on in Atlanta.

For the past fifteen years, this casual beach cafe has been feeding breakfast and lunch to masses of locals and tourists, successfully enough that they have no need to remain open beyond 2:00pm in order to show a decent profit. I'm not quite sure how they're making their money, considering the low prices they're charging for portions so large they literally obscure the plates on which they're piled. By itself, an omelet overstuffed with spicy sausage, onion, peppers, and cheese easily could feed two; add a mound of grease-free home fries and a stack of toast and you have a meal that will tide you over until dinner. Although a fruit crepe - filled with sweet, juicy melon and grapes and topped with apples and bananas - sounded like a healthy alternative, it was hidden beneath a mountain of whipped cream and served with a cup of buttery grits and a slab of banana bread, still warm from the oven, on the side. Decor is limited to kitschy frog memorabilia scattered about the rooms and small vases of carnations on the tables. The servers are old-timers and most of the clientele clearly regulars, greeted by name and treated like old friends. If I was a bigger fan of breakfast - or simply wanted to get a lot bigger - I easily could make this a habit once or twice a week.
